The Grocery Tour was a very informative experience, and I learned a lot of things. Lisa gave me a lot of great information towards planning interesting meals that are not 'diet' boring. This is not a diet, it's a choice on how to fuel my body effectively. Lisa was very accommodating to everyone at the tour. She understands that we are not robots and we all do not want and can not eat the same things. She helps us customize our own eating regiments to benefit us. In the past, I was programmed one way...I can't have this, I can't have that...I can't, I can't, I can't. With Lisa, she taught me how to fuel my body with the proper foods that will be beneficial to ME.

I found your presentation very informative and easy to "swallow" even for beginners. You covered a lot! Love your sense of humor and "matter-of-factness" on any questions that arose. You are really approachable and full of information for those that want to take it in. I think it was great to incorporate a little of kids nutrition as many of us are mothers.

I really enjoyed the tour today and found it very helpful; I definitely took away a lot of information. I’m not trying to be a suck, but I really don’t have any negatives. I’m really glad I did this tour, you’re very funny and approachable, not at all intimidating, and you hammered home that eating right isn’t about starving yourself and that there are lots of choices. I look forward to working with you in the future!

Go Day
BUC is honored to be part of an amazing event that is scheduled to take place in Richmond, BC in the spring of 2008. This day long expo is targeted at Grade 9 girls who will be given opportunity to participate in activity workshops, healthy lifestyle workshops and focus groups to discuss the barriers to participation in physical activity. This is a joint initiative by the City of Richmond, Richmond School District, Richmond Health Services and various community associations and societies. This event has been established to remove barriers that prevent young girls from becoming physically active and encouraging them to develop good recreational habits and a positive attitude towards physical activity. We are still looking for sponsors and donors to make this day a huge success so please consider how you can help! For additional information please click HERE!!  gogirl@bucfitness.com
